UV laser processing demand outbreak, come here to find out!
There is a saying in the industry: the laser industry can develop to what height, mostly depends on the development of the laser to what level. There is no doubt that since 2010, the development of fiber lasers has attracted much attention, and the limelight has overshadowed the performance of other laser products. However, we should not ignore the development achievements of some departments. There are some technologies and processing that seem to be unpopular. It is hard to say whether they will become popular next year. The market is waiting for an opportunity and a flashpoint of application demand. Technological innovation is often a systematic and subversive process, not a partial individual, such as the replacement of steam engines by electric locomotives. Looking back at laser processing to replace the traditional processing technology, the same is true.
The development of laser is not only fiber lasers, but also ultraviolet lasers have achieved remarkable growth in 2016. Two or three years ago, the total shipment volume of solid ultraviolet lasers in the country was only about 3000 units, but it soared to 10,000 units in 2016. The industry was out of stock. At that time, "Luoyang paper is expensive", while ultraviolet laser suppliers are smiling away, and the shipment volume and performance are also growing up.
At present, the solid-state ultraviolet laser used in industry generally refers to the laser with nanosecond output ultraviolet light. The diode-pumped all-solid-state ultraviolet laser has the characteristics of high efficiency, high frequency, reliable performance, small size, good beam quality and stable power. Because of the large amount of ultraviolet photon energy, it is difficult to generate a certain high-power continuous ultraviolet laser by external excitation source, so the realization of ultraviolet continuous wave laser is generally produced by the application of crystal material nonlinear effect frequency conversion method. There are generally two methods for generating all-solid-state ultraviolet laser spectral lines. One is to directly perform intracavity or extracavity 3 or 4 frequency doubling on infrared all-solid-state lasers to obtain ultraviolet laser spectral lines; the other is to first use frequency doubling technology to obtain the second harmonic and then use frequency-sum technology to obtain ultraviolet laser spectral lines. The former method has a small effective nonlinear coefficient and low conversion efficiency, while the latter method uses a quadratic nonlinear susceptibility, and the conversion efficiency is much higher than the former method. Crystal frequency doubling can realize continuous ultraviolet laser, and its beam shape is Gaussian, so the spot is circular, and the energy gradually decreases from the center to the edge. Due to the short wavelength and beam quality limitations, the beam can be focused in the range of 10 micromillimeters.
UV laser can be used for electronic products marking, white goods, electrical housing marking, food, drug production date of the flying mark. In addition, it can also make great contributions in some fine processing fields, including PCB/FPCB cutting and splitting, ceramic punching and dicing, glass/sapphire/wafer cutting, fine punching, scribing, cutting and other fields. In 2016, there was a good market demand for these applications, and UV lasers replaced some traditional YAG lasers and CO2 lasers.
Domestic enterprises engaged in the production of ultraviolet lasers mainly include Wuhan Huali Laser, Xinte Optoelectronics, Suzhou Yinggu Laser, Delong Laser, Shenzhen Ruifeng Heng Technology, Advanced Light Wave/Inno Laser, Changchun New Industry, Beijing Dao Zhongdao Laser, Zhongke Ziyu and so on. These are stable technology-based enterprises, the scale of enterprises is not large, especially in the ultraviolet laser product series of production capacity is not large, so when the market demand shows explosive growth, there is a shortage of goods. This is only temporary and will be able to meet the market in the future as supplier capacity increases. This wave of demand has obviously driven these companies. For example, Huari Laser's performance in 2015 was only tens of millions, but it increased more than twice in 2016. Other companies also benefited.
In 2017, the demand for UV lasers continues to grow, and it is conservatively estimated that the market will ship close to 20000 units by the end of the year.
The three main suppliers of ultraviolet lasers, Daozhongdao Laser, Huari Laser, Yinggu Laser and Ruifeng Heng Technology, have decided to participate in the "2017 China (Shenzhen) Laser Intelligent Manufacturing Expo" on May 23-25, when they will bring the latest ultraviolet laser products to the exhibition.
